Day 2 - Kidzania/ Frim and Ipoh

Day 2: Wednesday 30 October 2013
Adventures in Kuala Lumpur and off to Ipoh!

After a hearty breakfast buffet, Group 1 headed to FRIM (Forest Research Institute of Malaysia) and Group 2 headed for Kidzania.

Group 1:
The pupils enjoyed the nature trail and canopy walk. They were awed by the tall trees during the nature trail and conquered their fears during the canopy walk.

6/1:
"Towering trees rocketed towards the azure  blue sky , intimidating all who dared to come close. Curious smells lingered in the fresh air and incessant noises crashed around everybody's eardrums. That is the true making of a rainforest."
Salman Khuzema Shakir and
Behlul Shabbir Rangwala 6/1

6/4: "It was tiring but exciting. We could go up the canopy walk and I learnt to be careful and alert as the suspension bridge was scary at times."
Yeo Sheng Wen Skyelar  6/4

" I learnt to appreciate nature. I also learnt to persevere and not give up. During the canopy walk, the bridge kept shaking and I was terrified but I carried on by looking straight and not looking down."
Md Rizq Aiman 6/3

Group 2:
The pupils visited Kidzania today, an indoor edutainment centre. They managed to try out a variety of different jobs.

" I learnt how to assemble a laptop. It was really interesting. "
Afiqah 'Ammarah 6/2

" I enjoyed being a crime scene investigator. We had to work as a team as there was a part where we were blocked by cobwebs and had to find out way around the floor."
San Miguel Kristine 6/6

" I was a HITs FM radio deejay for a day and I enjoyed it. I earned 8 Kidzos from my job today."
Habibullah Khan Surattee 6/5

The 2 groups met for a tea break and continued their journey to Ipoh. The pupils saw limestone hills and even spotted a waterfall during the bus journey.

They had a delicious dinner at the Syu'ee hotel and reflected on their meaningful day. All pupils settled comfortably in the Impiana Hotel, Ipoh, their home away from home for the next 2 nights.
